Why Do We Have a Membership Program?
Developing a strong and active Membership Program is at the core of Black Men Build’s power-building strategy. We must do the hard work of bringing our people together – creating structure, accountability, and reliable systems of mutual aid, community education, and service to uplift our communities. Our Membership Program is grounded in trust and strong relationships. This is a powerful opportunity to connect with brothers across the country who are looking for actionable ways to uplift their communities.
We heal together, we build together.
We are building the kind of Membership Program that our communities need: one that is rigorously committed to collective healing.
Membership Dues
A foundational component of our Membership Program is Membership Dues.
Membership Dues are collected annually and dispersed at the end of the year to an organization or grassroots initiative in the United States. Collectively, members and leaders within the organization will vote to determine the recipient(s) at our annual Membership Conference in December.
This process is crucial to maintaining and building trust within the organization at large and with the communities that we serve.
Membership Dues are an annual fee of $99.
